Following Illustrates the step to getting the translation correct:

Select start image with contrast and little pavement or buildings	After IR, click on Color for Non IR. This shows what is and what is not being judged to be IR. Use the IR sliders to clean up what can be cleaned up.

If you keep color in the output and apply the Distort/Glow at 3,3,10 this will be the result.	Using the Classic for Non IR shows contrast enhancement. Using a conservative setting on the IR Bright slider is required because the Glow filter brings the highlights up.

After the glow is applied the contrast range is somewhat lower.	Using Levels you can increase the contrast and maintain the glow.
